Extraordinary vase made of paper clay. Wafer-thin, very lightweight and is an art object in itself.
Material
Paper clay is a special type of clay. Paper clay is made by mixing ordinary clay with paper fibres. This gives the clay in unfired form a number of specific properties that are considered advantages by ceramists: the clay is much stronger; very thin 'sheets' of clay can be made.
Colour
Paola Paronetto's collection consists of lots of different colours and shades.
Technology
After relentless personal research, Paola experiments with numerous techniques and ceramic materials. Eventually, she focuses on paper clay, which is where the Cartocci collection comes from.
